Advanced SEO Tactics Will Have You Crushing the Competition

Ready to take your website to the next level? Of course you are – and these advanced SEO tactics are just what you need to crush your competition.

Sometimes we imagine our competitors to be some evil henchman down in a basement down the street plotting our demise. But, really they’re just your average Joe from First Street and they are more than likely clueless about advanced SEO.

So, naturally, you already have a leg up on your competition. Why? Because you’re here looking for advanced SEO tactics. You’ve already taken the step that most people who run a business, whether local or e-commerce, neglect.

Don’t neglect your SEO. It’s an integral part of running any business these days. And it’s how you are going to jump into sales conversion hyperspace this year.

1. Advanced SEO: Go Mobile

More people are going mobile than ever before. And you should too. Over 50% of internet traffic is from a mobile device.

And Google is pushing this trend forward with their browser. With the new Chrome update, you can essentially make any webpage mobile friendly on your device. But Google is on the attack. They now look for mobile-friendliness when it comes to online search rankings.

You want to be ahead of that curve. You want to optimize your website for mobile as soon as you possibly can. This is the 21st century; it’s no longer the year 2000 where most people sit at a desk with a mouse and keyboard.

2. Latent Semantic Indexing

No. Come back here. Sit down. This is advanced SEO, mind you. Some of the words in this article are going to be scary. This doesn’t mean that they are actually scary.

Latent semantic indexing (or LSI for short) is how a search engine finds synonyms for keywords. You see, Google doesn’t always show you verbatim listings that match your keywords. Instead, it searches out the intent of your search and does a pretty fine job of showing you what you’re really searching for.

Optimize your website for all synonyms of keywords you use. This is a great way to boost your SERPs.

3. Fix The 404

Broken links are bad for SEO. Like, really bad. And they’re bad for business. Who likes coming to a dead end in a maze and having to turn around? Broken links are exactly like that. You hit that 404 error, get frustrated, and move on. But you don’t want people moving on from your site. You want them to stay. You want them to buy.

There are two kinds of errors you should fix before Google finds them and dunks your ratings.

Site errors are across your whole site. These errors are high-level. Things like server connectivity errors would fall under this category.

Domain Name System errors or DNS errors should be the first thing you look to fix. If this comes up, it means people won’t be able to access your site at all. It means something is wrong at your DNS provider and you need to contact them to fix it.

URL errors only affect specific pages in your site. Not your whole site. Broken links within your site will come up with a 404 error. As soon as you find out about these you want to fix them

Other errors might include “Access Denied,” “Not Followed”, and other server errors.

4. Optimize The Landing Page

Just like the landing strip an airplane lands on, your landing page is where you customers will land when they click on that ad. If you focus your advanced SEO skills and conversion optimization on your landing page, you will drive loads of traffic to your site and make massive conversions.

But you have to put in the work first.

How do we do this?

Easy, great content. You should have at least 1,000 – 2,000 words of great information on your landing page. The copy should be concise, clear, relevant and well written. And use long-tail keywords.

What are long-tail keywords? They are the keywords that narrow down to your niche. You may get less traffic from those keywords, but they result in high conversions. And the majority of searches are for long-tail keywords.

5. Spy On Your Competitor

A little bit of espionage never hurt anyone. Except for the spies that got caught. But this is less espionage and more like good research.

Your competitor’s keywords will be obvious. And there are tools like SEMrush’s competitive data tool that will help you along the way. And besides, why would you give up a free opportunity to see what your competitor is doing?

It’s fairly easy to use. Just input your competitor’s site and you’ll be given a massive amount of great data in seconds.

Organic keywords. Keyword volume. Traffic. Organic competitors. These are just a few of our many things you can learn. And then, the candy at the bottom of the dish is the best. Top paid keywords. This is some advanced SEO that we’re telling you right now.

Click on “View Full Report.” You get loads more data you never dreamed you needed until you see what we’re talking about.

Use it on a regular basis. You won’t regret it.

6. Infographics Are Your Friends

You wouldn’t believe how much traffic and backlinks infographics generate. You can possibly generate over two million extra visits and thousands of backlinks this way. And infographics are all over the place. People are constantly creating them.

And they are just that much more engaging than a block of text. Besides, 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual.

This is exactly why infographics are so effective. But you need to be careful. Google doesn’t count the text in the graphic as text. So you need at least two thousand words of content to go along with the graphic. This is the optimal amount of text necessary for good SEO.

Conclusion:

With these advanced SEO tactics you’ll leave your competition in the dust. They won’t even know what hit them. And then, they’ll have to exit their crummy basement and come into the light.
