Instagram Tricks: How to Easily Get Your Insta-Content on Facebook

This post is all about Instagram tricks that will easily get your insta-photos refurbished for Facebook. We’re also sharing the best times to post, and why.

Facebook and Instagram: two social media giants that aren’t showing any signs of slowing down.

Social network veteran, Facebook, is on track to increase their user base by more than 10% by 2021, while the newbie, Instagram is poised to skyrocket with a 41% increase by 2020.

Meanwhile, you can merge these two networks using insider Instagram tricks to get more exposure, followers, and engagement on your content.

You know what that means—more leads!

So are you sick of watching that Instagram account collect dust as you plug away on your Facebook strategy?

Because we’re counting down our favorite tricks for merging Facebook and Instagram to maximize your SMM ROI.

Instagram Tricks For Hashtags

Hashtags are one of the most important tools we use to communicate on social media.

Without them, you’ll just get lost in the social stream. This is particularly true for new and small businesses.

The best part is that most hashtags are cross-platform anyway, especially top-trending ones—and that’s exactly where you should start.

Bookmark these Instagram tricks for finding trending hashtags for your posts:

Research popular social media influencers in your niche. They’re a fantastic source for trending hashtags. Plus, they often create trending hashtags themselves.

Search for trending topics or events in your industry through Google news, then look for related hashtags on Facebook and Instagram.

Twitter is still a great tool for finding trending hashtags.

You can also use Hashtag.org or Hashtagify.me to create a list of hashtags with accompanying analytics, real-time data, and related hashtags.

Perform keyword research, just like you would for SEO. Then, research Facebook and Instagram streams for any relevant hashtags. Get creative and look for relevant hashtags your competition is not actively using.

We also recommend using an Excel spreadsheet to keep your hashtag research organized and ready to go when you need to post.

Embed Instagram Images In Your Blog Posts

Embedded Instagram images are great content curation alternatives to photos and videos. Plus, it’s a smart way to get more exposure for your Instagram account.

Remember that looking good in Facebook’s newsfeed is important too. After curating your blog post with trending Instagram images, share it to Facebook. It should automatically generate an image or an appealing “card” associated with that link.

Make sure your blogging platform allows you to connect to your business Facebook page to save yourself the time of creating a separate Facebook status for your post.

It’s Okay To Be Selective

You don’t have to share everything Instagram post to Facebook. That’s just content overload for your target audience.

Instead, be selective about the images you post, and save the best of the best for your Facebook page.

To do this, follow these quick Instagram tricks:

Simply copy and paste the URL of Instagram post you want to promote on Facebook and paste it right into your status update text box.

Your beautiful image should automatically generate for you. Once you see that image, go ahead and delete the image URL from the text box.

In your Facebook status, don’t forget to include 1 to 3 relevant hashtags from your research.

Use “Facebook Trending” To Find Instagram Posts To Share

If you’re struggling to curate Instagram posts for your Facebook feed, try using Facebook’s own trending topics section as your guide.

Facebook even gives you a rough estimate of how many people are talking about each topic.

For example, if it’s National Cupcake Day, and you happen to have an Instagram post full of delicious cupcakes, reshare that image on your Facebook to get more mileage for both your accounts.

Nail Down The Right Posting Schedule

Timing plays a huge role in driving likes, views, and shares.

But Facebook and Instagram have their own peak posting times. That’s why you need to find a common ground between the two networks and nail down a time window that’s effective on both platforms.

The best way to do this is to analyze your social media metrics and really observe your own audience’s activity.

You could even go as far as to create consumer surveys to get a better picture of what your audience thinks of your social media strategy.

However, studies have also revealed these opportune posting times for both Facebook and Instagram:

For Facebook, the best posting times are:

12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays

And 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays

Instagram tricks for scheduling are a bit different. You can be far more liberal with your posting schedule and post anytime Monday through Thursday, while 3:00 pm to 4:00 p.m are shown to be the weakest posting times.

See any time slot overlaps? It looks like the 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm time slot would be a good opportunity for some cross-platform marketing!

These Instagram tricks will help you draw even more marketing power out of your Facebook and Instagram strategies.
